Spindrift Investments
Hard-money lender site with live calculators
A pitch built as a working site: Spindrift's live site is a WordPress page-builder template, so I built the alternative to show them, with a live Fix & Flip calculator, a seven-step borrower application wizard, and an interactive iPhone mockup of the borrower app.
Next.js 15 · TypeScript · Lenis · CSS Animations · IntersectionObserver
Spindrift Investments is a hard-money lender whose site, at spindriftinvestments.com, runs on WordPress with Elementor, Divi, and Slider Revolution stacked on top of each other. It reads as a brochure: a three-step Apply, Approval, Close graphic, a phone number, and a Borrower Application that is one long form. Nowhere on it can a borrower sizing up a fix and flip actually run the numbers, which is the first thing that borrower wants to do.
Rather than pitch them a deck, I built the alternative in agentic AI coding environments and presented it as a working Next.js 15 site.
Their static three-step graphic becomes tools that do the work: a live Fix & Flip ROI calculator that takes purchase price, rehab budget, ARV, hold period, rate, and origination and returns the loan structure, cash to close, monthly interest, and projected profit; the single long application becomes a guided seven-step wizard; and an interactive in-browser iPhone mockup shows the borrower app.
The page-builder plugin stack becomes an entirely hand-built animation system: an IntersectionObserver reveal engine, a cursor-following glow orb, a mesh-gradient hero, and Ken Burns photo rotation, every piece honoring prefers-reduced-motion.
- Live Fix & Flip ROI calculator: loan structure, cash to close, and projected profit from six inputs
- Seven-step borrower application wizard in place of a single long form
- Interactive in-browser iPhone mockup of the borrower app
- Hand-built animation system with full reduced-motion support, no page-builder plugins
A pitch a prospective client can click through instead of imagine.
